GENERAL

 

What is a bareboat yacht charter?

A bareboat yacht charter is a type of yacht rental where you, as the charterer, rent the entire yacht without a captain or crew provided by the yacht owner. In a bareboat charter, you are responsible for hiring your own licensed captain and crew. You also assume full responsibility for the yacht during the charter period.

What types of yachts are available for charter?

We specialize in offering motor yachts, super yachts and mega yachts.

 

How long can I charter a yacht for?

We specialize in three hour sunset charters; however half-day, full-day and overnight charters are available upon request.

 

What is the Charter Experience Form?

The Charter Experience Form is a document that outlines the details of your yacht charter, including guest preferences, itinerary, and any special requests to ensure a personalized and seamless experience.

 

Why is the yacht limited to twelve (12) or thirteen (13) guests on board?

The yacht is limited to twelve (12) or thirteen (13) guests to comply with U.S. Coast Guard regulations for uninspected passenger vessels, ensuring safety and comfort for all on board.

What staff will be onboard for a three-hour sunset charter?

For a three-hour sunset charter, you’ll be joined by our experienced captain and attentive crew, who are dedicated to providing a seamless and enjoyable experience. Additionally, a representative from Nautical Miles will be onboard to ensure every detail of your charter meets our highest standards. Our team will be there to serve drinks, assist with any requests, and make sure you have a memorable evening on the water.

PAYMENT

 

What is included in the charter price?

The charter price includes the yacht rental, captain and crew, docking, fuel, and standard food and beverage package. Additional services like catering, special requests, yacht decor, or activities will be an additional cost.

 

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express),bank transfers (ACH, Venmo or Zelle), and PayPal.

 

Is a deposit required?

Yes, a deposit is required to secure your booking. The deposit amount and terms are outlined within the Charter Experience Form Terms and Conditions.

 

What is an acceptable tip for the captain and crew?​

An acceptable tip is typically 15-20% of the charter price, depending on the level of service provided. A tip can be paid either in cash or by bank transfer (Venmo or Zelle)

 

Planning and Preparation

 

Do I need a license to charter a yacht?

No, you do not need a license to charter a yacht however you’ll need to select a licensed captain.

 

What should I bring on the yacht?

Based on our experience, for charter experiences during the spring and summer months we recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, swimwear, floats, towels, and any personal items (ie: medication, cell phone etc…). For charter experiences during the fall and winter season, we recommend bringing sunglasses, a hat, personal items (ie: medication, cell phone etc…) and a jacket.

 

Can I choose the itinerary?

Yes, you can customize the itinerary with your captain's input to ensure safety and feasibility.

 

How early can my guests and I show up prior to the scheduled departure?

We suggest that guests arrive up to thirty (30) minutes before the scheduled departure time.

 

ONBOARD EXPERIENCE 

 

What amenities are available on the yacht?

Standard amenities include air conditioning, restroom(s), a bluetooth sound system. Additional amenities (ie: Flybridge, Jet Skis, Floats, etc..) vary depending on the yacht.

 

Is there Wi-Fi on the yacht?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available on most of our yachts .

 

Are pets allowed on board?

Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, please inquire during the booking process.

What is included in the standard food and beverage package? 
Our standard food and beverage package provides a curated selection to make your yacht experience even more enjoyable. This includes a charcuterie board with assorted cheeses, meats, and accompaniments for up to 12 guests, a welcome glass of champagne or prosecco, and a choice of one bottle of red or white wine, or one bottle of a selected spirit with mixers. We also include a variety of non-alcoholic beverages and a light dessert to celebrate special occasions. This package ensures you and your guests have a delightful array of refreshments to enjoy while onboard.

 

Can I bring my own provisions?

Yes, you can bring your own food and beverages (alcoholic / non-alcoholic), though we also offer catering options. Please keep in mind that if you provide your own food we need to be made aware of any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Also, any alcoholic beverages brought on board will be charged a corkage fee.

 

Are children welcome on board?

Yes, children are welcome. We recommend bringing a life jacket for each child on board.

 

Can I smoke on board the yacht?

Smoking may be allowed but only in designated areas on the yacht, please inquire with a charter experience team member during the booking process

 

SAFETY & REGULATIONS

 

What safety measures are in place on the yacht?

All yachts are equipped with life jackets, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and communication devices. The captain and crew are trained in emergency procedures.

 

Are there any restrictions on where we can sail?

Routes that we can take during a specific charter experience may be restricted based on weather, tide levels, safety considerations, and local / federal regulations.

 

What should I do in case of bad weather?

The captain will monitor weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to the itinerary for your safety. In case of severe weather, the charter may be rescheduled or canceled according to our Charter Cancellation Terms and Conditions

How do I provide feedback on my charter experience?

Can I extend my charter during the trip?

Yes, extending your charter is possible only if the yacht and crew are available and the captain approves. Additional charges on a per hour basis will apply.
